Listening to music – understanding music

Every school year, we expose school children to art, culture and music. An indescribable opportunity to inspire young people. The variety of performers is truly limitless.

The repertoire of the Quinternio Vienna – a classical wind ensemble consisting of flute, oboe, clarinet, horn and bassoon – ranges from baroque to modern music, from Viennese music to jazz. Special emphasis is given to compositions specially arranged for this ensemble, which are intended to show that music can be made comprehensible to children from pre-school age. The ensemble is made up of five classically and didactically trained musicians who have contributed their many years of experience to this project.

The quality of the wind ensemble and the expertise of the five musicians, both educationally and artistically, has been a characteristic of the ensemble for over 30 years. A joint production with the association “Freunde der Musiklehranstalten Wien”.
